Why Choose Counselling?
Counselling offers a reflective space to understand yourself better, explore emotional challenges and find clarity and direction.
My counselling work is rooted in person-centred philosophy, and my pluralistic approach means we work together collaboratively, drawing on different therapeutic models, in order to suit individual needs. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential environment, helping you to understand yourself more deeply and recognise any patterns that may no longer serve you. Opening up about personal struggles can feel daunting and nerve-wracking, which is why it’s so important to find the right counsellor for you. I aim to provide a safe and confidential therapy space where you can explore your feelings, gain clarity, and begin to make sense of your experiences, initiating the process of healing and growth.
Finding the right counsellor is key, which is why I offer a free 20-minute discovery call and an initial introductory counselling session at a reduced rate of £20. This allows you to get a sense of whether I’m the right person for you and for us both to consider whether we can work effectively together.
I support adults in a wide range of areas, including personal challenges, grief and loss, narcissistic relationships, domestic abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, loss of identity, midlife changes and feelings of stress, overwhelm, and feeling unable to cope.
I understand that speaking about difficult experiences can be incredibly hard. Reaching out for help and support takes real strength and courage - taking that first step is a brave and empowering decision but can lead to the start of meaningful change.
